Italian-American Heritage Festival Volunteer Opportunity
Since 2010, the Media Italian American Heritage Festival has drawn more than 30,000 people coming from a greater than five state area to enjoy a day in celebration of Italian heritage and culture.
More than 35 Delaware County business organizations make the festival possible each year. Proceeds will benefit programs that promote and advance Italian Heritage culture. Funds are also provided to charities supported by our member organizations.
Volunteers are requested to help man a table for Widener University to help represent the school and, most importantly, to provide firsthand information about their own experiences to prospective students. We would like to have students from 10:30 to 5:30. You will be provided with food tickets and parking. Shift schedules can be arranged based on student availability. We ask volunteers to please wear Widener gear and to be ready to talk about themselves and their experiences at Widener. You may be asked to help with pointing out parking spots or provide general assistance throughout the day (looking for trash, directing guests to restrooms, and so on). Student volunteers are absolutely encouraged to take part in the festivities and explore the event themselves.
