Diversity Programming Student Mini-Grants Now Available

Diversity Programming Student Mini-Grants

Additional funding will create Diversity Programming Student Mini-Grants to augment programs or activities aimed at creating and sustaining a healthy campus climate at Widener.  Improving and sustaining a healthy campus climate is a critical component of the Diversity Strategic Plan and the “We’re All Widener” campaign.

Funding will be specifically designated to assist SGA recognized student organizations and Greek-letter sororities and fraternities with programming efforts that promote a welcoming campus climate.

Topics or themes may focus on issues of ability status, age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, native language, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, globalization, and socioeconomic background. Priority will be given to student organizations that sponsor programs in collaboration with another organization.

Proposals will be reviewed by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Office for Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives, Office of Student Life, and a faculty member.

The application should include a description of the project, including its objectives, a timeline for its completion, and the amount of funding being sought (up to a maximum of $800) and its intended use.

The application must include a letter of support from the advisor. Advisors are expected to support the planning and implementation of the program.
