The Office of Civic Engagement is accepting applications for the Pride Service Site Leaders program. Pride Service Site Leaders commit to serving 160 hours per year, and in return, receive an annual $1,500 award.

Chester Made Story-Gathering Sessions
Make plans to attend a Chester Made Story-Gathering Session. At each session, “Chester Made” Artist-Facilitator Ensemble will ask youth, seniors, artists, cultural leaders, healers, local historians, business owners, and Widener’s campus—and many more—to share personal stories of meaningful cultural and creative experiences in Chester to map locations where “art and culture happen.”

SIGN UP TODAY: MLK Day of Service on January 19, 2015
Please note the change of the location of the 8:00 a.m. kick-off for the MLK Day of Service. The Chester-Upland School District, in collaboration with the MLK Commemorative Committee of Chester & Vicinity, announces that the host location for the MLK Day of Service activities scheduled for January 19, 2015 at Chester-Upland School District (CUSD) schools has been changed from Chester High School to the S.T.E.M. Academy at Showalter (1100 W. 10th Street, Chester) due to emergency repairs of the school’s heating system. Event timing and event inclusions will remain the same as scheduled, and pre-registered volunteers will receive a confirmation of their volunteer assignment prior to the event.
