School Supply Drive for Widener Partnership Charter School
The Office for Community Engagement and Diversity Initiatives is sponsoring a school supply drive for the children of the Widener Partnership Charter School. Donations will be accepted from August 24th through September 4th. Drop off boxes will be located in the lobby of University Center and Old Main ground floor (by Campus Safety). Bins will also be available at the fall reception on August 27th in the Bown Garden.

Looking Back to Move Forward: A Documentary Film about the City of Chester

Two Widener Communications Studies students (Kirsten Chu. ‘15 and Michael Michvech, ‘15) wrote, filmed, edited, produced, and directed this documentary for their senior project, as they wanted to tell a story that highlights the exciting developments taking place in Chester, especially in culture and the arts.  Chu and Michvech became involved in Chester through the Chester Made project, a participatory urban planning process facilitated by the Pennsylvania Humanities Coun

Mentors Needed for Skype Partner Program
International Student Services is piloting a Skype Partner Program for new international students and we need current Widener students as mentors. Current students will be paired with new international students and will “meet” on Skype for 1 hour per week over the summer (minimum of 8 hours).

Come over and join the children, faculty and administrators of Stetser Elementary School on Monday, May 4th to plant its school vegetable garden. Volunteers are needed to staff one-hour shifts from 9:15am - 3:15pm.
