The job requirements for this volunteer position are working from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using Social Media Marketing tools to create and maintain the organization's mission statement.
  • Work with the Executive Director to develop social media campaigns.
  • Interact with families and individuals living with Spina Bifida via the social media accounts.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of our current social media strategy and make recommendations for improvements. 
  • Research social media trends and inform the Executive Director of changes or directions relevant to the current association's activities.
  • Set targets and Key Performance Indicators for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes.



The ideal applicant for this position has suitable skills, including:

  • The ability to use social media. You will be expected to regularly post text, video and images that engage the mission of the association. 
  • Great verbal and written communication skills are essential. 
  • Align content with customer trends and market changes to interest and engage individuals in the community.
  • Research skills in learning and identifying new social media trends to effectively handle social media marketing.
